I'll never forget the moment I arrived in Kuala Lumpur. The city was a beautiful blend of gleaming skyscrapers, lush greenery, and the tantalizing aroma of street food. I had come to Malaysia to discover how matcha could possibly fit into a country so deeply connected to its own diverse culinary traditions.

As it turned out, Kuala Lumpur had a colorful and delicious surprise waiting for me.

My journey began in the vibrant streets of Bukit Bintang. I wandered through the lively markets, past colorful fruit stalls and sizzling woks, until I found a tiny matcha café tucked between a boutique and a tech store. The barista, a warm Malaysian woman named Aisha, greeted me with a smile.
